Included Modeling Tools:

• Ribbon Tools: For removing and hollowing clay.

• Loop Tools: Similar to ribbon tools, but with a closed loop for finer work.

• Needle Tools: Pointed tools for cutting, scoring, and making fine lines in clay.

• Wooden Rib Tools: Flat wooden instruments for shaping and smoothing surfaces.

Instructions:

Required Materials:

• Mini pottery wheel

• Clay (suitable for air-drying)

• Bowl of water

• Modeling tools (included in package)

• Optional: Towel for wiping hands

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Prepare the clay:
Knead the clay by folding and pressing it ("wedging") to warm and soften it.
Tear off a small piece, roll it into a smooth ball, and set aside.

2. Center the clay on the wheel:
Slightly moisten your hands to prevent sticking.
Place the clay ball in the middle of the wheel and gently press it down.
Moisten your fingers again and use gentle pressure to form the clay into a symmetrical cone shape.

3. Start the wheel & adjust speed:
Turn on the pottery wheel and adjust the rotation speed using the dial.
Start slowly and gradually increase if needed.

4. Shape the clay:
Use your hands or the modeling tools to shape into the desired form.
Use different tools for cutting, hollowing, and refining.

5. Refine & remove:
Wet your hands and tools with water to achieve smooth surfaces.
Once satisfied with the shape, carefully remove the piece from the wheel with a ribbon or needle tool.

6. Let dry:
Place the finished piece on a flat surface and let it air dry completely.
Drying time depends on the thickness of the clay.
